Pam
Having faced many health issues in her lifetime, Pam Mills’ mission is to help others achieve the freedom of wholeness, both physically and mentally. Pam learned much of what she teaches not only from books and self-education, she has first-hand experience dealing with health problems from birth, many of her symptoms mystifying doctors and specialists. She has a deep knowing that sharing her experience will help others avoid the complications that she has.
Nothing brings Pam more joy than helping her clients discover that they can change the way they feel by making simple changes, and by helping them develop habits to continue those changes and embody ongoing good health.
As a Holistic Health Coach, Pam loves educating people about the benefits and power of healing through food. She has worked with a variety of clients that have a desire for better health, have food intolerances, or food related illness, by making conscious food choices. She loves to share her years of knowledge that food can be healing and give energy, rather than deplete it.
Pam has created this transformational online health and wellness program so clients can build a healthy foundation and achieve their goals. Client testimonials describe Pam as a coach who “has given them their life back.”
Pam has raised four active now-grown boys, blessed with three daughter in-laws, five grandchildren and a few fur-babies. When not coaching clients, she travels the world with the love of her life, learning the history of the areas she visits, and meeting new people. Enjoying outdoor activities and spending time visiting her family are some of her favorite pastimes while living in Texas with her husband.
Amy
Amy Civica grew up savoring the meals her mom made using fresh ingredients from their small farm in Oregon City, Oregon. Today, she appreciates how fortunate she was to have been raised eating home-grown vegetables, farm fresh poultry and her mom’s delicious homemade bread. Ironically, Amy’s interest in cooking didn’t blossom in her younger years…until she lived in Italy.
When she moved overseas, Amy was surprised to learn that in Italy, there simply weren’t any pre-made meals. She witnessed first-hand the passion Italian women have about fresh, made-from-scratch cooking – canned pasta sauce?? A sacrilege! It wasn’t until Amy understood the connection to family – how Italian men and children returned home for lunch every day – that she decided it was time to learn how to cook. Amy’s life slowly began to revolve around the kitchen as she challenged herself to prepare three meals a day.
Amy evolved into a true “Italian Mamma” as she began to plant, harvest and cure olives, tomatoes, and a variety of other garden delights. As her confidence grew, she taught her Italian friends some of her favorite recipes from America. Although she loved her new-found passion, she felt strongly about enjoying life with her family and friends, therefore she developed efficient ways of cooking without spending all her time in the kitchen.
After eight years, Amy moved back to the United States with her knowledge of how an Italian kitchen is an amazing place for learning. Today, it’s her passion to take the wealth of knowledge and experience she gained in Italy and share it with others. Amy’s goal is to teach people in a personal way to create tasty, nutritious meals and replicate the feel of cooking in an Italian kitchen – a hallowed place rich in tasting and knowledge-sharing, complete with recipes you would never find in a book.
Amy has filled countless refrigerators with healthy, mouthwatering meals since 2014. Through her mission to help more people love their kitchens and the encouragement of Pam, Meal Prep Magic eBook was born.
How Two Business’ Became One PAMY
In the fall of 2017 Amy was invited to a networking meeting where Pam was the acting secretary. Amy was there for her personal chef business and Pam for her health coaching business, and they met briefly before the meeting started. Amy had wanted to talk, but had set a coffee date after the meeting, and Pam was busy with other members, so she left.
As Amy got to her car, she was hit with the sensation that she NEEDED to go back into the meeting and set a time to meet with Pam. So, she went back in, waded through the crowd, and patiently waited for Pam to have a minute. Now this part is funny…Pam was not feeling the same interest or urgency; in fact, she was rolling her eyes (in her head only, of course). However, a date was set for the following week. Little did they know history was in the making!
On their first visit they exchanged stories of why they did what they did; both pursuing their businesses because of personal journeys. They talked about what their families where like; Pam has 4 boys, Amy has 2. The shared how long they had lived in the area; Pam 15 years, Amy 4 years this time around. The discussed their vision where for their respective companies; and BOTH wanted to incorporate retreats into their plans! Pam was overwhelmed by the cooking part, which is Amy’s forte. Amy had no idea where to start with organizing the whole thing, which is Pam’s place of joy. It was a match that had begun to blossom beyond their wildest imaginations.
Their first meeting was in December. They decided they would start coming together once a week to create their first retreat. In Pam’s fashion, as the planner of this dynamic duo, she had them pull out their calendars and decide on dates during their first official meeting. Amy’s vision for retreats included a written business plan that named a retreat center “A place to BE”. They decided it would be a great theme and started with “A Place to BE Pampered.” It was a hit; fourteen women were treated to a weekend of pampering, sharing laughter (and some tears), and coming away with encouragement to continue selfcare. They were nourished with foods that satisfied, energized, and delighted.
Pam and Amy’s ability to work together and bless people has created such an amazing bond, that just two years later, they have closed their individual businesses and created Building Your Healthy Foundation, a company to help people enhance their health. This book is part of that vision.
